The boys and summer

We are about to end our summer weddings.  Here are a couple of shots of the two we’ve been at so far.  Ryan and his first wedding dance date at Jason’s wedding in May.  The boys in their tuxs at Chris’s wedding on June 6th.  I couldn’t believe how incredibly cute and handsome they are!

Summer is Here

Summer is in full swing for us and things have not slowed down at all!

We have survived 2 weeks of camp and Ryan loves it! He has meet some new friends and enjoys being with them and loves the field trips we get to go on. He even loves the bus rides. Let’s hope after 3 bus rides every week for 10 weeks he still enjoys the bus!

Ryan has also started T-Ball. Jake is having as much fun at T-Ball as Ryan! I realized at Ryan’s 2nd game that one day we may have 3 games and at least 3 practices a week of T-Ball or baseball!

Jacob is having a good summer as well. He loves going to Tammy’s, he says. That makes it easier.

I am enjoying camp again. It is such a nice change of pace. I am getting very tired by the end of the week. It is fun being Ryan’s “teacher” as he puts it. We are having fun going to the pool together and getting to go on other field trips.

We have also been to two out or the three weddings that we are involved in this summer! Chris got married a couple weeks ago. It was very fun and the boys looks great in their tuxs. Someday I hope to add pictures to show them off!

tidbit: It still holds true even after the kids are older, sleep when they sleep!

Speed Racer and Mother’s Day

After a Friday night with the girls, I came home to find the boys out playing T-Ball. We relaxed a little bit and then found that we had time for a movie.

We took the boys to Speed Racer. I had so much fun watching all my boys watch the movie. Ryan loved watching the cars race and the bright colors. Jake thought it was awesome when Speed was winning! And it was great to watch Greg laugh at the references from the movie. It was a great idea to take them to the movie and one of the best parts of Mother’s Day weekend!

Of course, the picture frame that the boys gave me complete with pictures of all my boys! Jake also had made me a plaster heart at day care and Ryan gave me a book that they had made in school about why they love their moms!

It was a great Mother’s Day and I am very lucky to have such a wonderful group of boys to call mine!

I love you, Greg, Ryan, and Jake!

A Day Off!

I got an email from work last night, it stated that because I will be going to a conference next week, I need to take a day off.  I can’t remember if I’ve ever been told that I have to have a day off.

So, next week I’ll be taking a day off.  I have nothing planned and no where to go.  Just have to take the day to do nothing or whatever it is that I might want to.  It is nice that it happens to be the week after I will be at TEC.  So I can take lots of naps in the comfort of my own home and not have to worry that I’ll zone out during a reading group!

Lucky me!

In the mean time I’m looking forward to a great weekend at TEC!

Ryan knows what it is.

One day last week after I got dressed, Ryan saw my shirt and told me that it was a new shirt, he hadn’t seen it before. I said that yes, it was a new one. It was a maternity shirt, I’m not sure if Ryan had seen me in one with this baby.

He came over to me and put his hand on my belly and said that he thought he knew what the bump was.

Ryan said that he thought that was the baby’s head poking out!  He also said that he thought it was a big head!

Our Final Snow Day!

I was hoping.  I was dreaming.  I was trying hard not to wish to much.  But alas, I did get one more snow day!!!  It couldn’t have happened on a better day.  I believe that the rest of SE MN schools were off for Spring Break or Easter Break.  But not Rochester!  So HA on Rochester, God decided that we Christians needed to take Good Friday and remember what happened so long ago but letting us get a good spring snow storm!

So, I happily write this as my lunch is being prepared and served to me by my wonderful husband and I plan on taking a very long nice nap on the couch in front of the TV later!

Happy snow day and more importantly have a Blessed Easter!

It’s a baby!

Yep! If you’ve been on Facebook or seen us lately then you’ve heard the big news. We are going to have baby number 3! We are very excited and it gets better and better every time we tell someone!

Ryan and Jake were excited to find out! Ryan said that he hopes that it’s a girl so that I won’t be the only girl any more. We are just hoping for a healthy baby.

I’ll try to keep you posted. The baby should make an appearance sometime in early September.

tidbit: Only one and a half snow days so far. I’m hoping for more to come! If the storms would stop coming on the weekends that would help.

2008!

Well, I’ve been awful at this blog thing lately.  I missed the whole month of December.  I did sit down to write a couple of times but as you know it just didn’t happen.

So here we are in 2008 and off to a running start.  I do not make resolutions so I don’t have to worry if any are kept.  I do always hope for a good year with good times and good health.  I hope that same for all of you and hope to see you some time in this new year!

Is break over already?

I had a great Thanksgiving break.  We were able to spend time with lots of family.  It was all very nice and just the right amount of time!

I even started decorating the house for Christmas.  Greg is thrilled and is eager to help out with anything that he can! (Not really.)  I do love the house when it’s finished but it’s sometimes hard to get it all done.  I’m getting a lot further then I did last year!

Ryan loves to help and Jake just loves to push all the buttons on the ornaments!

It will be a fun Christmas time.  I always love what the boys get into during the holidays!

It’s back to school and work tomorrow.  Back to reality, not sure that I’m ready!
